On September 11-12, 2012 rehabilitation professionals will unite at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Albany, New York for a collaborative institute on transition age youth policy in New York State.

This two-day institute, known as the Transition Age Youth Institute, is sponsored by the New York State Rehabilitation Association (NYSRA), the Mental Health Association in New York State (MHANYS), the New York State Coalition for Children’s Mental Health Services, and the New York State Learning Disabilities Association (NYS LDA). The Institute offers learning sessions and panel presentations that will create hearty discussions for attendees and clear advocacy in assisting and providing services to children transitioning from high school to post-secondary education and careers. Additionally, New York State Board of Regents Chancellor, Merryl H. Tisch, has will be the guest speaker.
