Description: Integration of District and Community Leadership
The Interconnected Systems Framework (ISF) is a structure and process for blending education and mental health systems through a multi-tiered structure in schools. By bringing school and community mental health providers into established school-wide systems of positive behavior supports, the ISF promotes a prevention-based continuum of mental health promotion and supports embedded in all 3 tiers of multi-tiered systems of behavioral support in schools.
This webinar will describe the early phases of exploration, adoption, and installation of ISF within a district and community. Key features such as district and community data, resource mapping, gap analysis, and action planning will be described. Guides for conversations regarding funding, data, and selection of evidence-based practices will be shared along with examples from exemplar sites.
The target audience for this webinar includes all members of the IDEA Community of Practice on School Based Behavioral Health and related stakeholders in states, districts, schools, and systems of care communities interested in expanding mental health services through ISF. Opportunities for question/answer and sharing of experiences among participants will be available during the webinar.
