Department of Labor Youth Employment Rate

The Department of Labor Office of Disability Employment Policy posts the employment rate for youth with and without disabilities. The youth employment data is obtained from the Current Population Survey (CPS), a monthly survey of households conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau for the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The disability employment data are not seasonally adjusted; therefore, the data is not adjusted for school closings like summer break. Nevertheless, these numbers provide the most accurate data available of the national employment rate of youth.
