This webinar will propose a framework for a third generation of practices within special education that will be needed to keep the momentum from the past quarter century moving. This presentation will introduce a model for educational planning that incorporates strategies and instruction to provide all students with access to the general education curriculum and to addressing of each student’s unique educational needs. The webinar will also examine the role of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), self-determination, and student-directed learning in ensuring access to the general education curriculum and high quality educational outcomes for all students.
