The PACER Center has published a new book for parents: “Mapping Dreams: The Transition to Adulthood.” The book helps parents plan for their child’s transition from high school to adult employment, postsecondary education or training, and independent living. The cost is $8.00 and can be ordered online at PACER.org/publications/transition.asp.
The New York Chapter of DCDT strives to increase collaboration efforts in effective transition planning for individuals with disabilities by reducing the duplication of efforts and aligning resources and communication.
